Creamy Baked Hash Brown Potatoes
- 1 (32 oz.) frozen hash brown potatoes, thaw before putting in baking dish
- 3/4 c. butter or oleo
- 1 small chopped or grated onion
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 3/4 can milk
- 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. corn flakes
- Combine 1/2 cup butter,
- the
- onion,
- soup,
- milk, sour cream, cheese and flour.
- Bring
- to
- a boil and then pour over thawed potatoes in a buttered
- 3 quart flat baking dish.
- Melt the rest of the butter
- and put in crushed corn flakes.
- Shred a little more cheese and
- put
- over
- potatoes;
- then
- put
- the buttered, crushed corn flakes on
- top of contents.
- Bake for 1 hour at 325u0b0. Can be
- made
- ahead
- of
- time
- and frozen until ready to bake.
