Chocolate Butterscotch Brownies
- FOR THE CHOCOLATE BATTER:
- 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/4 cups Cocoa Powder
- 1/8 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 dash Salt
- 1/4 cups Butter, Softened
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- FOR THE BUTTERSCOTCH BATTER:
- 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 dash Salt
- 1/4 cups Butter, Softened
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cups Butterscotch Chips
- For the chocolate batter:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an 8x8 pan.
- 2. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
- 3. In the bowl of a stand mixer cream together butter and sugar. Then add eggs one at a time continuing to mix until combined.
- 4. Next add the flour mixture and mix until well blended. Then stir in chocolate chips.
- For the butterscotch batter:
- 5. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and set aside.
- 6. In the clean bowl of your stand mixer cream together butter and sugar. Then add egg and mix until combined.
- 7. Next add the flour mixture until well blended. Then stir in butterscotch chips.
- 8. In the prepared pan spread chocolate batter. Drop spoonfuls of the butterscotch batter on top.
- 9. Using a knife swirl the two together.
- 10. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 F. Then reduce heat to 325 F and bake 10 minutes more.
- 11. An inserted toothpick should come out clean when brownies are cooked.
- 12. Cool and enjoy!
