Strawberry Satin Pie

  1. Bake pie crust.
  2. Cool.
  3. Put on a layer of sliced almonds (toasted).
  4. Combine and mix the 1/2 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons cornstarch, flour and salt and cook until thick.
  5. Cool, then chill. Fold in whipped cream and vanilla.
  6. Pour in shell and slice berries over this.
  7. Cover with glaze made of 1/2 cup strawberries and 1/2 cup water.
  8. Cook 2 minutes (sieve).
  9. Mix the 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
  10. Gradually add to juice and cook until thick and clear.
  11. Cool and spoon over top.
  12. Chill.
