Strawberry Satin Pie
- 1 baked crust
- 1/2 c. almonds
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cream, whipped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- sliced strawberries
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- Bake pie crust.
- Cool.
- Put on a layer of sliced almonds (toasted).
- Combine and mix the 1/2 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons cornstarch, flour and salt and cook until thick.
- Cool, then chill. Fold in whipped cream and vanilla.
- Pour in shell and slice berries over this.
- Cover with glaze made of 1/2 cup strawberries and 1/2 cup water.
- Cook 2 minutes (sieve).
- Mix the 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
- Gradually add to juice and cook until thick and clear.
- Cool and spoon over top.
- Chill.
