Cherry Chocolate M&M Oatmeal Cookies
- 6 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
- 1/4 cups Nonfat Vanilla Yogurt
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 3/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 3/4 cups Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
- 2 cups Rolled Oats
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 cups Dried Cherries
- 1/2 cups Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup M&Ms, Divided
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0F. Line a baking sheet with a Silpat mat or parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a large mixer, cream butter and yogurt until light and fluffy. Add in both sugars and continue beating until well mixed. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine both flours, oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- With mixer on low speed, add dry ingredients to wet mixture until fully combined. Fold in cherries, chocolate chips, and 3/4 cup M&Ms.
- Drop cookies by large tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Press 5-6 M&Ms into the top of each cookie.
- Bake 8 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and middle of cookie is slightly firm to the touch. Remove from baking sheet, cool, and enjoy!
