Chocolate Butterscotch Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl sift together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. Place the butter and the chocolate chips in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until melted and smooth. Set aside.
  4. Crack the eggs in a large mixing bowl, add in the sugar and vanilla. With the electric mixer on medium speed, beat the mixture for 10 minutes, or until pale and creamy.
  5. Stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Fold in the melted chocolate followed by the butterscotch chips. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  6. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls, about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until dry and cracked.
  8. Cool on trays.
