Easy As Pie Apple Crisp
- 4 whole Medium Sized Apples
- 1/2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 whole Egg
- 1/2 cups Chopped Nuts
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Peel and slice apples and place them in a casserole dish (2-quart size). Apples should fill the dish 2/3rds of the way. Sprinkle the 1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon and 1 teaspoon sugar on apples. Hand toss.
- Place the butter in a microwave safe container and microwave until completely melted.
- Place the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and blend. The mix will still be slightly dry and crumbly. Pour the mix over the top of the apples and distribute evenly.
- Pour the melted butter over the crust as evenly as possible.
- Bake in 350 degree (F) oven for 1 hour. Crust will be lightly browned. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or hard sauce.
