Shrimp, Sausage And Garlic Cheese Grits

  1. In a large stockpot, bring broth to a boil. Add butter. Pour grits into broth slowly and let cook on medium heat, stirring often. Cook about 10 minutes. Stir in salt and garlic powder. Cook on low heat until grits are starting to thicken. Add whipping cream slowly and stir until well blended. If grits thicken too much, add more broth.
  2. While grits are cooking, place shrimp and sausage in a skillet with garlic, bourbon and Worcestershire sauce and saute until done. Then stir sausage and shrimp mixture into grits.
  3. Add cheese and stir until well blended. Serves 12 to 15.
