Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Bars

  1. For the bars:
  2. 1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir honey and peanut butter together until smooth.Simmer mixture over medium heat until it has a slight liquid consistency.
  3. 2. In a large bowl combine peanut-honey mixture and 2 1/2 cups cereal. Add enough remaining cereal to form a thick, but still moist consistency.
  4. 3. Press mixture into a greased (13 x 9 inch) baking dish and chill 2 hours.
  5. For the frosting:
  6. 4. Combine frosting ingredients and stir until smooth.
  7. 5. Spread bars with frosting. Refrigerate 20 minutes then cut into bars.
  8. Yield: 1 dozen bars
  9. Store bars in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
