Party Sangria

  1. Stir the sugar and ginger into the juices until it is disolved.
  2. Combine the wines in either a punch bowl or very large pitcher. Add the juice/sugar mixture and stir.
  3. Wash and then slice the citrus fruit and drop into the liquid mixture. Stir.
  4. Add lemon-lime soda to taste (I usually add the soda directly to the serving glass-2/3 sangria, 1/3 soda).
  5. Serve over lots of ice.
  6. Note: If you want the sangria more diluted you can add up to 6 cups of cranberry juice- if you do this, add an additional 2 Tablespoons of sugar. Otherwise, stick with 4 cups of juice.
  7. This is very easily doubled or tripled. For parties, mix the juices and sugar in a pitcher and keep them in the fridge-then when it's time to replenish the punch bowl it is easy to add the juice with the wine.
  8. Also, servings are approximate-it depends on the size of your glass!

orange juice, cranberry juice, ubc, ginger, white wine, red wine, oranges, lemons, whole limes, lemonlime soda
