Wild Rice Casserole

  1. Rinse wild rice and cover with boiling water and let stand, covered, for at least 2 hours.
  2. Make sure water covers rice by 1 to 2 inches.
  3. Brown meat, onion and green pepper in butter.
  4. Do not season!!
  5. Add soup, mushrooms, soy sauce and hot water.
  6. Use water rice soaked in and put soy sauce into it.
  7. Rice should have been drained.
  8. Add rice to other ingredients.
  9. Bake in large casserole for 1 1/2 hours in 300u0b0 oven, covered.
  10. Uncover and bake for 1/2 hour more.
  11. May sprinkle with slivered almond, if desired, just before serving.
