Cranberry Apple Crumble
- 1 whole Large Fuji Apple (or Any Sweet Apple), Peeled, Cored And Cut Into Chunks
- 12 ounces, weight Frozen Cranberries, Rinsed
- 2 Tablespoons Corn Starch (or Regular Flour)
- 1/4 cups White Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Mixed Spice (or Allspice)
- 1/3 cups Melted Butter
- 1/3 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Instant Oats
- 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- Preheat oven to 180 C or 375 F.
- In an 8 x 8 inch glass baking dish, mix apple chunks, cranberries, 2 tablespoons of corn starch/flour, white sugar and mixed spice. Try to level it out as best you can.
- In a large bowl, mix together melted butter, brown sugar, oats, flour and baking powder until the mixture resembles clumpy wet sand.
- Scatter crumble mixture over the fruits.
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until the crumble is golden and juice is bubbling.
- Leave it to sit for about 15 minutes before serving with ice cream.
