Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Cream the butter with both sugars till fluffy. Add vanilla. Add both eggs and mix well.
  2. Mix together the flour, cocoa and baking soda and add to the first mixture. Mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. Refrigerate overnight.
  4. Take a rounded tablespoonful of the batter (approximately 1-1/2 tablespoons) and roll it into your hands to make a ball.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper, for 11-12 minutes. They'll look slightly underdone at that point but take them out of the oven and let them sit on the baking sheet a couple minutes before removing them to cool completely on a wire rack.
