Grilled Strawberry Caprese Cakewich
- 8 slices Part-skim Mozzarella Cheese, Divided
- 4 slices Pound Cake (slices Should Be About 1/2-inch Thick)
- 3 whole Strawberries, Sliced, Divided
- Ground Fresh Peppercorns, To Taste
- 2 leaves Basil, Thinly Sliced (chiffonade), Divided
- 1/4 cups Chocolate Chips, Melted, Divided, Or You Can Also Use Chocolate Syrup
- Preheat panini grill.
- Place 2 slices of mozzarella on top of 2 slices of pound cake. Add strawberries over mozzarella. Season with fresh peppercorns. Sprinkle with basil. Add chocolate. Top with remaining mozzarella slices.
- Close the cakewich by placing the remaining slices of cake on top. Place onto the hot panini press. Close the press and allow it to grill for about 1 minute, or until lightly browned and cheese is melted.
- Top with more chocolate (optional) and serve immediately.
