Boozy Chocolate Dipping Sauce
- FOR THE CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
- 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1-1/3 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips, Chopped
- 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 Tablespoons Dark Rum
- FOR THE FRUIT SKEWERS:
- 16 pieces Bamboo Skewers
- 32 whole Strawberries, Hulled, 2 For Each Skewer
- 32 cubes 1 Inch Squares Of Prepared Pound Cake, 2 For Each Skewer
- 1 pint Blueberries, 6 For Each Skewer
- For the sauce:
- Place cream in a small saucepan and cook over low heat. When cream begins to form bubbles around the edges, remove from heat and whisk in the chopped chocolate. Continue to whisk until melted and smooth. Whisk in vanilla and rum; set aside.
- For the skewers:
- Thread strawberries, pound cake cubes and blueberries onto each skewer. Arrange fruit skewers on a platter and serve chocolate sauce in a bowl.
- Sauce will thicken as it stands.
- Note: Dipping sauce will serve about 8 people.
