Glaze For Doughnuts For The 4Th Of July
- 1/4 cups Cream Or Milk
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- Food Coloring And Sprinkles, For Decorating (optional)
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar until the powdered sugar is completely dissolved and the glaze is smooth. If the glaze is too thick, you can easily splash in a little more milk, and if it's a little too thin, just add some more powdered sugar.
- At this point you can divide the glaze into separate ramekins to add your food coloring. Then dip your doughnuts in the glaze and enjoy!
- Note: You can also play around with the icings just a little bit here. The white icing was done with the standard vanilla extract, but I used Maker's Mark in the blue icing, and a combination of Chambord and Grand Marnier in the red. The Chambord/Grand Marnier flavor combo was our favorite, and is definitely worth repeating.
