Pretzel-Crust Cherry Chocolate Brownies
- FOR THE CRUST:
- 2 cups Pretzels, Crushed
- 5 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Butter, Melted
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

- FOR THE BROWNIE BATTER:
- 1-2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cups Butter, Melted
- 1/4 cups Water
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1-1/2 cup Flour
- 3/4 cups Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Dried Cherries
- For the crust, combine the pretzels, sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl until evenly combined. Press into a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 400F for 6-7 minutes. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and let cool slightly while you make the brownie batter.
- For the batter, first thoroughly combine the sugar and melted butter. Add the water, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Sift together the flour and cocoa powder, then add this to the wet ingredients with mixer on low speed. Once everything is evenly mixed, fold in the dried cherries and spread the mixture across the pretzel crust. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
