Mama’S Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2 cups Butter
- 1-1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 4 whole Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 4 cups Flour
- 4 cups Rolled Oats
- 4 cups Chocolate Chips
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Add together butter and both sugars until creamy. Add in eggs, and vanilla. Slowly add in cinnamon, baking soda, salt and flour and mix completely. Then add in your rolled oats and mix until fully combined.
- Turn off your mixer and now FOLD in your chocolate chips. You could try and use a large spoon but I just use my hands. Just a couple of folds, you don't want to handle the dough too much with your warm hands but you want to get everything mixed well.
- On a parchment-lined cookie sheet (or well-greased sheet if you don't have parchment paper), spoon heaping-teaspoon-sized balls of dough onto your sheet about two inches apart from each other and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Tip:
- Remember to keep your dough cold. This will help them keep their form during cooking. Try keeping your dough in the fridge in between batches of baking.
