Gran’S Favorite Baked Beans
- 2 cans Pork N Beans (15 Oz. Cans)
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Chili Without Beans (optional)
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 1 whole Bell Pepper, Chopped
- 4 stalks Celery, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder To Taste..Add More If Necessary
- 1 teaspoon Salt And Pepper...add More If Needed
- 1 package Uncooked Bacon (8 To 12 Oz.)
- Drain the pork and beans and empty into a mixing bowl with all other ingredients (except the bacon). Mix ingredients together and place in a Pyrex baking dish. Cover the top with the slices of bacon and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour. I have made these beans with the chili and without - it really depends on your preference. They taste just as good without the chili.
