Grandma Elizabeth’S Old Fashioned Cobbler

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix 1 cup sugar and the flour together in a medium sized bowl. Melt 1 stick of butter and add it into the mixture. Add milk into the mixture and stir until lumps are gone. Pour batter into a greased 13x9-inch pan.
  2. 2. Add chopped fruit over the top of the batter.
  3. 3. Add remaining 1 cup of sugar evenly over top of the fruit.
  4. 4. Cube the remaining 1/2 stick of butter and place cubes randomly over top of the sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon as desired.
  5. 5. Bake at 350 F for 45 minutes.
  6. Note: If you use particularly sweet fruit, then use less than 1 cup of sugar to cover the chopped fruit in step 3.
