Salted Fudge Cookies
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 3/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- Coarse Ground Sea Salt
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a nonstick saucepan over medium heat, melt butter then stir in chocolate chips. Use a spatula to continue to stir until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- In a small bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a separate medium bowl, use an electric mixer to combine sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Slowly add flour mixture and continue to beat. Add chocolate mixture to bowl and, again, beat until smooth.
- Prepare baking sheets by spraying them with baking spray. Use a small spoon to place about 1 1/2 tablespoons of batter onto the baking sheet, placing each mound 1-2" apart. Sprinkle each mound with a dash of sea salt.
- Bake for 6-8 minutes, then remove cookies from oven. Allow them to set on the pan for 5 minutes prior to transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
