Salted Peanut Chews
- FOR THE BASE:
- 1 package Pillsbury Moist Supreme Yellow Cake Mix, 18 Ounce Box
- 1/3 cups Butter, Softened
- 1 whole Egg
- 3 cups Mini Marshmallows

- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 2/3 cups Corn Syrup
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 package Peanut Butter Chips (10 Oz)
- 2 cups Crisp Rice Cereal
- 2 cups Salted Peanuts
- For the Base:
- In a large bowl combine cake mix, 1/3 cup of softened butter and the egg. Beat at low speed until crumbly. Press into a 9x13 pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-18 minutes until light golden brown (I take it out before it browns).
- Remove from oven and sprinkle crust with the marshmallows. Return to oven for 1-2 minutes, until marshmallows puff.
- Remove from oven and set aside.
- In large saucepan, combine corn syrup, 1/4 cup butter, vanilla and peanut butter chips. Heat over low heat just until peanut butter chips melt and texture is smooth, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in cereal and peanuts.
- Immediately spoon warm topping over marshmallows.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
