Baked Sugar & Cinnamon Apple Cider Donuts
- FOR THE DONUTS:
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 1/2 cups Apple Cider
- 1/3 cups Milk
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 Tablespoons Melted Butter
- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 1/4 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
- 3 Tablespoons Melted Butter
- 1. Preheat your oven to 325 F. Spray a 12-count regular size donut pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
- 2. In a large mixing bowl sift together your flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
- 3. Add in your sugar, apple cider, milk, egg and melted butter. Using a mixer mix until all of the ingredients are combined. Fill each hole in your donut pan 3/4 full (not to the top unless you like a very large donuts) and bake for 10-15 minutes. The donuts will spring back when they are finished cooking.
- 4. Mix together your topping by adding your granulated sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon into a dish. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter.
- 5. When the donuts are finished cooking remove the pan from the oven and set it on a rack. Brush an even coat of melted butter on each donut and roll in your topping mixture, then let donutes cool on a cooling rack and dig in!
