Sausage And Bean Stew
- 1/2 whole Yellow Onion, Diced
- 4 cloves Garlic, Chopped
- 2 pieces Bay Leaf
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 can (16 Oz. Can) Diced Stewed Tomatoes
- 1-1/2 cup White Beans
- 3 cubes Chicken Bouillon
- 4 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- 1 cup Chopped Swiss Chard Or Kale
- 16 ounces, weight Bockworst Sausage, Halved Lengthwise Then Sliced
- In large stock pot, add all ingredients except the sausage. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a low boil for 30 minutes. Turn off, put a lid on and let sit for 30 minutes. Then add sausage and simmer on medium for 1 hour. Serve with your favorite bread or rolls.
