Chocolate Pecan Peanut Butter Squares
- 1/3 cups Crushed Graham Crackers
- 1-1/4 cup Confectionery Sugar
- 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cups Creamy Peanut Butter
- 6 Tablespoons Butter, Divided
- 1/2 cups Chopped Pecans
- 2 cups Milk Chocolate Chips
- Yields 25 squares.
- Spray a 9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place crushed graham crackers, confectionery sugar, brown sugar and peanut butter in a mixing bowl. Then add in 5 tablespoons of butter and the chopped pecans and mix on medium speed. The mixture needs to be a little crumbly still, or it will not harden. Take the peanut butter graham cracker mixture and place it into the pan, spreading it out evenly around 1/4 inch thick.
- To heat the chocolate, take the remaining 1 tablespoon butter and chocolate chips place in a sauce pan and melt over low heat (to avoid burning the chocolate). Stir frequently until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- While the chocolate is still hot, place on top of the graham cracker mixture and spread over the top evenly. Place into the refrigerator for approximately 2 hours until the bars are nice and hard. Cut into squares and enjoy!
- Note: You can crush the graham crackers by using a Ziploc bag and a can or just using your hand to squish them together.
