Sausage Gravy And Biscuits… Oh My!
- 1/2 whole Onion, Chopped
- 1 pound Sage Pork Sausage
- 6 Tablespoons Flour
- 1 quart Half-and-half
- 1/4 teaspoons Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoons Poultry Seasoning
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoons Tabasco Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
- Biscuits, To Serve
- Brown the onion and sausage in a deep saucepan at medium heat. Once the meat has browned, don't drain the fat. I told you this was going to be good!
- Stir in the flour and cook on low heat for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour in the half-and-half and add all the seasonings. Okay, I have to admit it, you could use whole milk or any milk of your liking, but it isn't going to be as good unless you use the half-and-half. Trust me.
- After you add all the goods, turn the heat up to medium and stir the gift from God until it boils and finally thickens to the perfect gravy.
- Serve with biscuits. Enjoy!
