No-Fuss Lasagna
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 3 c. water
- 2 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix (1 1/2 oz. each)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 (16 oz.) carton cottage cheese
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles (uncooked)
- To make a day ahead and bake just before serving:
- In a large saucepan, brown ground beef; drain.
- Add tomato paste, water, spaghetti sauce mix, sugar, parsley, salt, garlic powder and pepper.
- Simmer, partially covered, for 20 minutes.
- Stir occasionally.
