Sea Salted Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies With Bacon
- 2 cups Salted Butter
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 3 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 4 whole Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 2 teaspoons Coarse Sea Salt
- 5-1/2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 24 ounces, weight Bag Of Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 bar (3.5 0z. Size) Lindt Sea Salted Dark Chocolate Bar
- 12 pieces Bacon, Chopped Fine
- This recipe will make approximately 60 medium/large sized cookies, or 20 servings of 3 cookies each. Recipe can easily be cut in half.
- Preheat your oven 360u0b0F. Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamed together and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes in a mixer on medium-high speed). Add eggs and vanilla and beat for 2 more minutes. Add baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour until batter is fully mixed (you will want to do this with a mixer if you have one because it will make your hand very tired!). Add the chocolate chips and sea salt chocolate bar until they are uniformly mixed in. Next, add the bacon and mix everything together. This is a very thick cookie dough.
- Line cookie sheets with parchment paper so they are easy to remove later. Drop the cookies onto the sheet in heaping tablespoons, evenly spaced on the cookie sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes, set your timer to check on them at the 10-minute mark since all ovens bake differently. They will be ready when the edges are slightly browned. Give the cookies a few minutes to cool before moving the parchment paper/cookies to a cool spot.
- Serve these with a nice glass of milk. Santa is going to love you for leaving him these cookies!
