Blueberry Buttermilk Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine flours, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter with a fork. Add blueberries. In a separate bowl, beat egg and buttermilk together and gently fold into flour and blueberry mixture, just until it starts to combine. Mixture will be crumbly.
  2. Pour onto a cutting board or other surface and gently knead together. Divide in half and gently pat into two circles. Cut into wedges and place on a greased or lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned.
