Jolene’S Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 1/2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 whole Egg
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 cup Flour
- 1-1/4 cup Oatmeal, Finely Ground In Processor
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 6 ounces, weight Chocolate Chips
- 2 ounces, weight Hershey Bar, Chopped Into Chunks (I Used Milk Chocolate Chips From Guittard)
- 3/4 cups Chopped Nuts (I Just Put A Handful In Because I Don't Like A Lot Of Nuts)
- 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- 2. Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer.
- 3. Add egg and vanilla.
- 4. Mix together flour, ground oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- 5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- 6. Stir in chocolate chips, chopped Hershey bar, and chopped nuts.
- 7. Make golf-ball-sized cookies spaced 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- 8. Bake for 9 minutes.
- Yields 2 dozen cookies.
