Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. butter, softened (room temperature)
- 3/4 c. white granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. water
- 2 eggs
- 2 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 lb. nuts (pecans), coarsely chopped
- Sift together first 3 ingredients.
- Set aside.
- Cream together butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in vanilla, water and eggs.
- Combine butter/egg mixture with the dry ingredients; mix well.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes in preheated 375u0b0 oven.
- Cool on wire racks. Makes 50 to 60.
