Caramel Kit Kat Brownies
- FOR THE CARAMEL:
- 1/2 cups White Corn Syrup
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 7 ounces, fluid Sweetened, Condensed Milk
- FOR THE BROWNIES:
- 2 boxes 20 Oz Box, Ghirardelli Brownie Mix
- Additional Ingredients As Needed By Brownie Mix ( Eggs, Water, Oil)
- 6 bars 1.5 Oz Size, Kit Kat Bars, Unwrapped
- 1. Make the caramel: Add all ingredients into a small or medium saucepan and cook on medium low until the caramel is a dark golden brown color. Make sure to stir frequently, so it does not burn. Set aside once done.
- 2. Preheat oven according to the brownie box instructions. Lightly grease a 9 by 13 glass pan. Make batter according to box instructions. Pour 1/2 of the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Break the Kit Kat bars apart and lay evenly in the batter.
- 3. Add the other 1/2 of the batter, spreading evenly. Spoon the caramel over the batter into a swirl pattern.
- 4. Place in oven and bake according to box instructions until the brownies spring back when touched (because we made a double batch we cooked them for an hour and 15 minutes at 325 F). Enjoy!
