Gourmet Cafe-Style Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2-1/2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Finely Ground Coffee Beans
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter
- 2 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 whole Eggs
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
- Note, this recipe requires at least 2 hours of chill time for the dough so plan ahead!
- 1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt and ground coffee beans. Whisk together with a fork.
- 2. Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, beat the butter, cream cheese, dark brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time making sure they are fully incorporated, scraping down the sides as needed. Add the dry mixture a little at a time until mixed. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- 3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 4. Place 3 tablespoon-sized mounds of dough onto the parchment paper about 2 inches apart and then place tray in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 2 hours. Tip: Use a cookie scoop for consistency in size.
- 5. When you are ready to bake, preheat the oven to 375u0b0F and bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.
