Caramel Brownies
- 1 cup Butter
- 4 ounces, weight Bitter-sweet Chocolate
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 whole Eggs
- 2-1/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1-1/2 cup Caramel Bits
- 2 Tablespoons Half-and-half
- In a microwave safe bowl, combine butter and chocolate, broken into pieces. Microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until chocolate has melted completely. Add sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla; stir until well combined. Beat in eggs. Add flour, soda, salt and 1 cup of caramel bits.
- Pour into an 8" x 8" glass baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small microwave safe bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup caramel bits and 2 tablespoons half-and-half, cooking in the microwave at 30-second intervals and stirring in between until caramel is melted and smooth. Serve each brownie with about two teaspoons of caramel sauce. YUMMY!
