Cranberry And Apple Hot Smoothie
- 20 grams Dried Cranberries
- 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 6 grams Fresh Ginger, Peeled And Chopped Finely
- 150 milliliters Water - Just Boiled
- 1 whole Sweet Dessert Apple (I Like To Use Jazz Apples), Cored And Roughly Chopped
- 200 milliliters Water - Just Boiled
- 1. Place your dried cranberries, cinnamon and ginger into a cup and add the first amount of boiling water. Give it a stir and leave to steep for 7-8 minutes.
- 2. Place the cranberry mix and the chopped apple in your smoothie maker. Add a splash of cold water if you think the liquid is too warm (be careful mixing hot liquids in blenders or smoothie makers).
- 3. Blend on high for a minute or two until the cranberries and ginger have been incorporated.
- 4. Pour your smoothie into a cup and mix in the remaining amount of boiled water.
- 5. Drink as is, or you can put in the microwave for 30 seconds to heat a little more if required.
- I couldn't face an icy smoothie on a cold day, so came up with this warming, healthy recipe.
