- 1 whole Egg
- 4 cups Flour
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoons Cloves

- For the cookies:
- In a medium sized bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and egg. Add flour, spices and baking soda. Mix well.
- Refrigerate dough for about 2 hours or more. Roll out dough before or after refrigerating (see the related blog link for details).
- Remove dough from the refrigerator. Roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out desired shapes and place them on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. If you want to frost them, make sure to do so when cookies are completely cool.
- For the frosting
- Cream together cream cheese, vanilla and butter. Add powdered sugar. Whip until creamy.
- I believe that the cookie recipe was originally in a collection distributed by Tupperware.
