Chili Beans

  1. Brown beef and drain off excess fat.
  2. Precook potatoes and carrots about 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Put beef in a large, heavy pot; add water and drained vegetables, green pepper and onion. Sprinkle in seasonings and stir to blend.
  4. Simmer over low heat 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
  5. Serves 12.
