Peanut Butter Cup Hot Chocolate
- 3 cups Cream Or Half And Half, Divided
- 1/3 cups Sugar, Divided
- 3 cups Milk (any Kind Will Work!)
- 1/3 cups Cocoa Powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- 4 ounces, weight Dark Chocolate Bar, Chopped
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/3 cups Creamy Peanut Butter Plus A Little Extra For Melting And Drizzling
- Roasted Peanuts
- Chocolate Sauce
- Peanut Butter Cups, Chopped
- First make the whipped cream. Place 1 cup of the cream in an electric stand mixer with whisk attachment and whisk for 5-10 minutes on medium speed until thick and whipped. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and whisk again until combined. Set aside.
- Next, make the hot chocolate. Heat milk and remaining cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it just barely boils, then reduce the heat and simmer.
- Combine remaining sugar, cocoa powder and salt in a small bowl. Add 3-4 tablespoons of the hot milk/cream to the cocoa powder mixture and mix to form a paste. Whisk the paste into the saucepan until completely dissolved and smooth.
- Add the chopped chocolate into the saucepan and whisk until completely melted. Add the vanilla. Whisk in the peanut butter until completely smooth and combined.
- Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream, a drizzle of melted peanut butter, chocolate sauce, peanuts and peanut butter cups!
