Apple Carmellina
- 7 whole Granny Smith Apples
- 2/3 cups Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Cinnamon
- 1 box Yellow Cake Mix (18 Ounce Box)
- 1 stick Butter
- 1/2 gallons Vanilla Ice Cream
- 1 jar Caramel Sauce (ice Cream Topping)
- Peel and slice apples and place into a 13x9 pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Pour sugar and cinnamon over apples, and stir, coating apples with mixture.
- In a separate bowl, pour in the dry cake mix. Cut up stick of butter, and using a pastry blender, crumb the butter into the dry cake mix. Pour this dry mixture over the apples.
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30-45 minutes, or until the top is a golden brown.
- Scoop a serving of the apple mixture and put into a bowl, top with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Yummy!! I like to make this during the holidays, since it makes my house smell divine!!
