All-American Cheesecake
- 1 1/2 c. vanilla wafers
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. sweet butter
- 3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1/3 c. sugar
- Crush vanilla wafers in blender.
- In a bowl, combine with 1/4 cup sugar and melted 1/4 cup sweet butter.
- Press crumb mixture into bottom of spring-form pan.
- In another bowl, combine cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar and blend.
- Add one egg at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- Mix until smooth.
- Pour on top of crumb mixture.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown and firmly formed.
- In a bowl combine sour cream and 1/3 cup sugar. Top onto cake and bake another 10 to 15 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Cool and refrigerate before serving.
