Julia Beebe'S Pineapple Pie

  1. Blend 1/3 cup sugar and the cornstarch into the crushed pineapple and its juice.
  2. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Spread cooled mixture into a 9-inch unbaked pie shell.
  3. Blend the cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar and salt.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time; stir well.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla.
  6. Pour over the pineapple mixture; sprinkle with the chopped pecans.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes at 400u0b0, then for 50 minutes at 325u0b0.
  8. Cool and hide from the family.
