Garlic Cheese Biscuits
- FOR THE GARLIC CHEESE BISCUITS:
- 1-1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 3/4 cups Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 1/2 sticks Unsalted Butter, melted
- 3/4 cups Havarti Wild Garlic Cheese
- FOR THE GARLIC HERB BUTTER:
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 teaspoons Dried Parsley
- For the garlic cheese biscuits:
- Preheat oven to 450u0b0F.
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt and garlic powder in a large bowl. Set aside.
- Stir milk and lemon juice together in a small bowl. Sit for 5-10 minutes or until milk begins to curdle. Add butter to the buttermilk mixture and stir to combine.
- Add buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and fold gently. Fold in cheese.
- Scoop 1/4 cup of the batter onto baking sheet lined with a silicone baking mat. (If you have trouble getting batter out of the measuring cup, simply spray with nonstick cooking spray.)
- Place in oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. As soon as biscuits come out of oven, drizzle with garlic herb butter. Serve immediately. They are best served warm.
- For the garlic herb butter:
- Combine all ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside until ready to use.
