Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cups Cocoa
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 cup Boiling Water
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- FOR THE ICING:
- 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- 3 Tablespoons Milk
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 cups Butter, Softened
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 cups Cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Grease two 9-inch round pans.
- In a large bowl, combine all cake ingredients with an electric mixer. Batter will be thin.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake 30 minutes, until toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Let the cakes cool for about 10 minutes before removing from pans.
- While cakes cool completely, make frosting. Beat frosting ingredients until smooth and spreadable. Add milk if needed to make thinner. Spread evenly between and over cakes.
