Goody-Good Pumpkin Bread

  1. Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Combine next 7 ingredients.
  4. Add to creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  5. Stir in vanilla, pecans and raisins.
  6. Spoon into 2 (9-inch) loaf pans that have been greased and floured.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in middle comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pans 10 minutes, remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
