Cowboy Beans
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 pounds Bacon
- 1 cup Onion, Chopped
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Pork & Beans
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Ranch Beans
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Baby Lima Beans
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Kidney Beans
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1/2 cups Barbeque Sauce (smokier The Better)
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Dry Mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- Cut bacon into small pieces (for easier cooking). Place ground beef, bacon and onions into a skillet and lightly brown. Drain. In a stock pot or crock pot, put the meat mixture and all the remaining ingredients together and mix. Cook on low to medium heat until mixture is warm and bubbly. I usually cook it for 1 hour on Medium in my crock pot.
- This is a wonderful make-ahead recipe. I make the meat mixture the night before and add the remaining ingredients and then place it in the fridge (gives it time to get acquainted). The next day, I put it in the crockpot to warm while I get ready. Grab the crock pot and you are ready to go!
