Honey Grapefruit Bourbon Smash
- FOR THE HONEY SYRUP:
- 1/4 cups Honey
- 1/4 cups Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- 1-1/2 ounce, fluid Bourbon
- 2 ounces, fluid Grapefruit Juice
- 1/2 ounces, fluid Honey Syrup (Recipe Included)
- 1 leaf Rosemary, Plucked From The Sprig
- Rosemary Sprig Or Grapefruit Wedge, For Garnish (optional)
- Make honey syrup by combining equal parts honey and water in a pot with the salt. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes until honey dissolves. Let cool and keep in a lidded jar in the refrigerator.
- To make the cocktail, add bourbon, grapefruit juice, honey syrup and rosemary to a cocktail shaker. Muddle rosemary using a muddler or a wooden spoon. Fill with ice, shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary or wedge of grapefruit, if desired.
