Fruited Pound Cake

  1. Cream
  2. butter
  3. and
  4. cream cheese.
  5. Gradually add sugar, beating until
  6. light
  7. and
  8. fluffy.tdd
  9. eggs,
  10. one at a time, beating well after each one.
  11. Combine 1 3/4 cups flour and the baking
  12. powder.
  13. Graduallytdd
  14. to
  15. creamed
  16. mixture and beat until
  17. well
  18. blended.
  19. Dredge
  20. lemon rind, candied fruit, raisins, dates
  21. and pecans with remaining 1/2 cup flour.
  22. Stir to coat well.
  23. Stir mixture into batter.
  24. Spoon into greased and floured 10-inch
  25. tube
  26. pan.
  27. Bake
  28. at
  29. 325u0b0
  30. for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until done.
  31. Cool about 10 minutes before removing from pan.
  32. Dust top of cake with powdered sugar.
  33. Garnish with candied cherries and pineapples.
  34. Very good for the holidays.
