Chocolate Sundae Dessert

  1. Combine cookie crumbs and 1/4 cup melted butter.
  2. Reserve 1 cup crumbs; press rest of crumbs in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Freeze.
  3. Slice ice cream in 1/2-inch slices; put on crumbs and freeze until firm.
  4. Melt chocolate chips and 1/2 cup margarine. Add powdered sugar and milk.
  5. Cook until thick and creamy, stirring constantly.
  6. Add vanilla; cool and spread over ice cream. Freeze until firm.
  7. Spread whipped cream over chocolate layer and sprinkle with chopped nuts and reserved crumbs.
  8. Store in freezer. Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving.
