Apple Chutney With Ginger, Walnuts And Raisins

  1. Cut the apple/pear and ginger into fine pieces. Thinly slice the chili.
  2. Mix chili, ginger, syrup, cinnamon, orange juice and zest in a saucepan and heat until it is boiling. Add the apples/pears and bring to a boil again. Add walnuts and raisins, and boil for about 5 minutes. Pour into a glass with a tight fitting lid and cool completely. (It will thicken up a bit when cooled down.)
  3. Store in the fridge for a few weeks.
  4. Serve with home baked baguettes, artisan bread and lots of wonderful cheeses. Yum! Enjoy!
