Cheeseburger Bake
- 4 oz. lasagna noodles (4 noodles)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 oz. sharp process American cheese (4 slices)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. reconstituted nonfat dry milk or fluid milk
- Cook lasagna noodles in boiling, salted water for 20 minutes; drain.
- Combine meat, 1/2 teaspoon salt and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Shape into
- 6 thin patties.
- Brown in skillet.
- Remove patties.
- Drain off fat.
- In skillet, melt margarine or butter. Add onion and green pepper.
- Cook until tender, but not brown. Blend in flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Add milk all at once.
- Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
