Baked Grits Cakes
- 1 cup Instant Grits
- 1/4 cups Milk
- 1/2 teaspoons Iodized Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
- 1/2 cups Your Favorite Cheese (Grated, Optional)
- 1/4 cups Maple Syrup (warmed) Optional
- Preheat oven to 425 F. Using a standard size muffin tin, liberally spray 4 wells with non-stick baking spray (I use each corner of the muffin tin).
- In a mixing bowl add grits through melted butter and stir with a spatula. Fill each prepared muffin well and place in the oven and bake 12-14 minutes. They will be a golden color.
- Remove from oven (you can now add cheese, if desired). Allow to slightly cool and remove two to a plate. Add warmed maple syrup if desired (I always do). Add some scrambled eggs on the side and dig in. We love grits this way! Hope you enjoy!
